The starting point

What needed solving.

The background

AH Élec Rénov works in Lyon and west Lyon: general electrical work, bringing installations up to the NF C 15-100 standard, and also turnkey interior renovation — bathrooms, kitchens, plumbing.

The constraint

Two positionings within one business. Electrical work brings the traffic; full renovation brings the margin. Putting both on the same level blurred the message; keeping only one meant giving up either volume or value.

The response

Electrical work remains the SEO entry point, with its own pages. Turnkey renovation is presented as the natural next step: “we've redone your fuse box, we can redo the room”. The upsell is built into the journey, not pushed up front.

Design & art direction

Every design choice, and the reason for it.

  1. The standard given prominence

NF C 15-100 compliance (the French standard for domestic electrical installations) is named explicitly, along with what it involves. A customer selling their home or renovating an older property looks for that specific reference, not for “qualified electrician”.

  2. A stepped journey

Every electrical page ends with a bridge to full renovation. The upsell is offered once trust has been established, not on the home page.

  3. Projects by room

Bathroom, kitchen, living room. Customers picture themselves in a room, never in a technical service.

Sober. In regulated trades, typographic flair costs in credibility what it gains in personality.

Engineering

What's under the bonnet.

  • Next.js
  • React
  • Tailwind
  • Vercel
  1. A two-stage quote funnel

Type of need first, contact details second. Asking for a phone number in the first field slashes the completion rate.

  2. Static and lightweight

Static rendering, correctly sized images, no animation library. 87 for performance with a well-stocked gallery.

Search engine optimisation

How the site makes itself findable.

  1. Two families of searches

“Électricien Lyon 5” (electrician), “mise aux normes électrique Tassin” (electrical compliance upgrade) on one side; “rénovation salle de bain ouest lyonnais” (bathroom renovation, west Lyon) on the other. Each family has its own pages, with internal links from one to the other.

  2. The standard as a keyword

“NF C 15-100” is a low-volume, very high-intent search: whoever types it knows exactly why.

Method

How the project unfolded.

  1. Positioning

Electrical work as the way in, renovation as the upsell.

  2. Design

    Stepped journey, projects by room.

  3. Development

    Static, two-stage funnel.

  4. SEO

Two families of searches, internal links between them.

Questions

What we are often asked.

Not necessarily, but you have to rank them. The one that brings traffic becomes the way in; the one that brings margin is offered afterwards, within the journey. Showing them on the same level only dilutes both.

The same high standards, for your website.
